What you give up and what you get
| Keep TurboScribe if | Use Scribebit if |
|---|---|
| You need unlimited hours | A monthly cap is acceptable (120 / 1,400 / 8,000) |
| You paste YouTube URLs | You have a file, RSS feed, media URL, or Telegram |
| Volume is the whole job | You want Word, SRT, Ask AI, and auto notes on a 20-minute no-signup trial |
Side-by-side with numbers: TurboScribe vs Scribebit.
Switching from TurboScribe
Upload the same mp3, mp4, wav, m4a, or webm files you already have, up to 10 at a time. Podcast RSS and a direct media URL also work. YouTube links do not. After the transcript is ready you can rename speakers, export Word or SRT, ask questions of the file, and let show notes generate. Sign in with email and password or Google. Try one file first.
Pro and Business add custom vocabulary and context hints, plus industry presets (Podcast, Legal, Medical, Tech). Those help with names and jargon. They do not turn Scribebit into an unlimited plan.
Pricing if you leave unlimited hours
Basic is $0 for 120 minutes a month. Pro is $9.99 a month for 1,400 minutes. Business is $45.99 a month for 8,000 minutes. Yearly Pro is $99.99; yearly Business is $459.99. One-time packages (200 minutes for $2.79, 1,600 for $17.99, 4,000 for $37.99) never expire and are used before plan minutes. Unused subscription minutes reset each calendar month.
If you transcribe more than 8,000 minutes a month, Scribebit will not match TurboScribe. Stay on unlimited.
When to stay with TurboScribe
Stay if your workload needs unlimited hours, or if paste-a-YouTube-link is how you ingest files. Scribebit will not match those two jobs. Use Scribebit when the next step after the transcript is a Word file, captions, Ask AI, or notes.
Other forks: Otter for live calls, Rev for human review, Castmagic if cutting clips is the work. Creators publishing episodes: best transcription for podcasters.
